This is an ulu with beluga carving. The ulu is made from baleen with walrus ivory inlay. The handle is carved from fossil bone. The beluga is made from walrus ivory and baleen inlay eye. Made by Alaskan Native Inuit artist Jon Ipalook. This is set in a 11" high x 14" wide x 1.5" deep shadowbox.
